Dark Horse Imports Thriller Manga GANTZ!

Hiroya Oku’s sci-fi action-thriller where the “dead” are compelled to play a mysterious assassination game orchestrated by an equally mysterious force receives its first-ever English translation when Dark Horse Comics presents Gantz TP Volume 1.
More than 175,000 copies of Gantz have been sold in Japan, and its appearances in the Japanese magazine Young Jump, whose circulation exceeds 1 million, have made it a seinen smash with male readers ages 18-30. Long-demanded by Western manga fans and favorably compared to such multilayered sagas as Ghost in the Shell and Akira, Gantz holds the potential to keep customers spellbound, and to keep them returning for future volumes. Gantz begins when two young men are struck by a subway train after rescuing a derelict from the tracks. Instead of “dying,” they encounter similarly “dead” individuals engaged in a series of dangerous hunts for alien criminals. All of their missions are controlled by an enigmatic orb named Gantz that tells them: “Your lives have ended. How you use your new lives is entirely up to me.”

Intended for mature readers, the 224-page, black-&-white Gantz TP Volume 1 is scheduled to ship shrink-wrapped with an 18+ content advisory on June 25. SRP $12.95 - Preorder it NOW at yikescomics.com for $10.35!
