Dark Horse Figures Continue Domo’s U.S. Charge

Dark Horse Comics’ program of officially licensed Domo goods expands with Domo 8” Flocked Vinyl Figures, four fun & furry incarnations of the Japanese mascot of NHK’s satellite channel BS2.

Besides being recognized by 90% of Japanese schoolchildren, Domo is widely known beyond his native land by millions of enthusiasts who enjoy Japanese culture thanks to videos and other products released overseas.

Collectors should be charmed by this flocked vinyl figure of Domo, offered in four vibrant colors: a Classic Brown, Fabulous Fuchsia, Royal Blue and Polar White.

Nick Fury Rejoins Fight in Mighty Avengers #12

DC/Vertigo Renovates House of Mystery

Writers Bill Willingham & Matt Sturges (Eisner Award-nominated Jack of Fables) sign on as the architects for one of comics’ eeriest buildings when DC Comics/Vertigo reinvents a horror classic for the modern era with House of Mystery #1.

In this incarnation, five characters are inexplicably trapped in a supernatural bar. Each has a terrible, inescapable past – and each tells a tale that will comprise every issue’s first storyline by Willingham & Sturges.

Lost Boys’ Frogs Jump into Action for DC/WildStorm

Eisner’s Spirit Lives on as Dark Horse Mini-bust

One of master storyteller Will Eisner’s unpublished concept drawings springs out of his archive and into the studio of sculptor Tony Cipriano with the creation of The Classic Spirit Mini-bust from Dark Horse Comics.

First published in 1940, The Spirit enthralled newspaper audiences for more than 30 years with stories about a masked crimefighting vigilante whose fists patrolled the streets of Central City. Today, the rough-&-tumble adventures of Denny Colt that helped make Eisner a legend fascinate a new generation of readers that stands to grow with Lions Gate Entertainment’s upcoming live-action film directed by another master of graphic fiction, Frank Miller.

This 4.5” x 7.5” piece includes a separate Central City manhole cover that can be displayed on or near the bust to re-create the strip’s danger-filled noir atmosphere.
