Lost Boys’ Frogs Jump into Action for DC/WildStorm
The comic-book scholars who once helped save the town of Santa Carla from a gang of vampires in Joel Schumacher’s classic 1987 thriller The Lost Boys are summoned once more for DC Comics/WildStorm Productions’ The Lost Boys: Reign of Frogs #1, the start of a four-issue limited series starring the ever-resourceful Frog Brothers.
Predating the screen adventures of Buffy or Blade, Edgar and Alan Frog provided The Lost Boys with scene-stealing moments that made them as popular with moviegoers as the film’s central characters. With the Frogs’ set to return in this summer’s eagerly awaited The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, writer Hans Rodionoff and artist Joel Gomez bridge the gap between the two stories with this chilling, action-packed story that should delight fans of the film with this new line of comics starring the cinema’s most frightening and popular characters.
The 32-page, full-color debut issue is slated to ship on May 14, and is intended for mature readers.
